Online Learning Journals - The Way Forward
Tapestry is our online E-learning journal to record the development of each child at CVP. This system allows us to work with parents and carers to share information and record the children's play and learning both at pre-school and at home.
So what is 'Tapestry'.....?
Tapestry provides each individual child with their own e-learning journey held online. Parents and carers are given their own log-in using their e-mail and password. All our keyworkers are given a secure pin log-in number. Staff can then record and assess children linking to the EYFS curriculum, uploading photo or video media. Once saved and completed an e-mail is then automatically generated to parents/carers set up to that child's account and they are informed that an observation has been added so they can have a look and add their own comments to it.
Staff have access to Tapestry on tablets so they can upload observations and photographs on a daily basis.
'We love Tapestry, it is just so easy to look at my child's progress on my phone or tablet, anytime I like. I like to look at it while I'm at work to make me smile and see what she has been up to. It also gives me all the information about her developmental stages that I honestly wouldn't look at if I had to go and find a paper copy'
