The Early Years Foundation Stage is the standard set for all Ofsted registered early years providers. It has the child at the heart of it and this is reflected in the ethos and practice of CVP. Children are made to feel secure and valued from a close bond with their keyperson and other members of staff. A rich learning environment allows children to explore and make choices to follow their interests. It is during their play that adults talk to children and extend their learning.
Observations are recorded and shared with parents using the Tapestry Learning Journals system (please click on the link below to see the Tapestry section for more information). Staff view children holistically and a child's family are very much part of the child's development. Parents and carers are respected for their role and are invited to join in sessions at any time.
